Description:
There are Tesla Supercharger DC locations around Australia and several hundred AC charge points. Tesla has opened many of its sites for use by non Tesla vehicles. A 9.99 mth membership plan enables non Teslas to have the same rates as Teslas.
Number of Sites:
There are 158 Tesla Supercharger locations, providing 1,041 Tesla Supercharging bays in Australia. 116 of the Tesla Supercharger locations, with 797 Tesla Supercharging bays, are open to Other EVs to use.
Of the 158 Tesla Supercharger sites, 94 are flat rate, 64 are ToU
There are 572 AC Type 2 locations.

Note: Only those AC sites listed in PlugShare as Tesla Destination in the Network field are included in the AC figure above. There are many Tesla wall connectors installed at public locations and workplaces etc entered on PlugShare but the network field is empty. The normal user can’t add that network, as it is locked for use by Tesla. These “empty network” sites however do all appear bulked in with all the “Non-networked” category in the Other Networks filter in PlugShare. So they are included under “Non-Networked” figure shown here.

Activation:
- Tesla vehicles have Autocharge, just plug in to a Supercharger and it will activate automatically.
- Supercharger locations open to non Tesla vehicles are shown in the Tesla app.
- Activation of a Supercharger for non Tesla is by using the app.
- A Supercharger Membership for non Tesla vehicles is $9.99 mth and gives non Tesla vehicles same prices as Tesla vehicles.
- Some Superchargers have tap to pay credit card terminals. If you use tap to pay it will be at non Tesla prices.
- For AC chargers, activate via the Tesla app, or free chargers will start automatically.
Pricing:
Tesla flat rates at 25 July 2026 ranged from 27c-49c/kWh. Tesla ToU rates were 20c-63c/kWh. The national median flat rate is 48c/kWh.

The Tesla app, or the map on the Tesla website will show location of Superchargers open to non Tesla EVs.
