In Australia there are about 5,376 public or business EV charging station locations that are part of a network. 1,710 are DC EV charging sites and 3,666 are AC, Type 2, EV charging sites. (Source: Listings at evlog.net.au).

There are also Non-Networked DC and AC sites, such as those installed by businesses for guests or customers. Non networked chargers are not included in the figures above, but may be found on PlugShare.
Notes:
1. For networks that are listed on one or multiple other networks, an adjustment is made, so they are not counted more than once in the figures above. For example, networks listed on roaming platforms of Chargefox, Wevolt, Zuup, EasyPark, Origin 360EV, AGL, Everty etc. For example, BP locations are shown on Chargefox, EasyPark and BP Pulse platforms, but they are only counted once for the figures above.
2. Private home Level 2 chargers, that are not publicly available on a network, are not included in the figures above.
3. Commercially provided Level 1 are not included in the figures above. There are several commercial providers of Level 1 metered power points.
4. Private home Level 1 power point charging is not included in the figures above. In Australia for private EV charging, Census 2021 says there are 7.5m separate houses 1.4m townhouses as well as 1.7m apartments.
