This site is a list of public EV Charging Networks in Australia.
Australia is a large continent with several thousand electrical contracting businesses at national, regional and local levels who can provide and maintain electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Many EV chargers are non networked, such as those for staff, guests or customers and private chargers. There are also public networks where multiple EV chargers share common technology to remotely locate, monitor, activate and pay for EV charging.
These chargers are provided by EV public charging networks that are either:
- large, covering multiple states and territories,
- regionally focused or smaller networks of less than 50 locations or,
- networks with 5 or fewer locations at present.
The networks listed on this site often perform one or more roles in EV Charging such as EVSE, CPO, Host, eMSP or EVSP. These terms are defined at

My experience, after 4 yrs 7 mths of using public EV charging networks, is there is a good variety of competitive EV charging network providers in Australia. Low barriers to entry have allowed smaller start ups to enter the market, sometimes focussed just on their local region, right up to large statewide and national EV charging network providers.
I use about 6 EV charging networks regularly, the other networks I use when travelling, referring to PlugShare for locations when I am headed to a new region. I have used or become aware of these networks, over the last 4 yrs 7 mths and 109,336 kms of travelling in Australia by EV.
Many of the EV charging networks have apps to enable you to locate and activate each remote charging device, pay for your charging and provide a range of information on the charging experience in your account, including both kWh used and billing history. Some chargers have Autocharge, RFID, credit card terminals or QR codes and many a choice of payment options.
I’m just keeping this personal blog as it’s any easy way for me to keep track of the development of EV charging networks in Australia, for myself and other new EV drivers.
This blog doesn’t provide advice, its just a record of my own observations of EV charging networks in Australia.
