This site is a list of EV Charging Networks in Australia I have used or become aware of over the last 4 years and over 100,000km of travelling in Australia by EV.
I use about 6 EV charging networks regularly, the other networks I use when travelling.
PlugShare lists locations and reviews for nearly all public chargers in Australia.
Many of the EV charging networks have apps to enable you to locate and activate each remote charging device, pay for your charging and provide a range of information on the charging experience in your account, including both kWh used and billing history. Some chargers have credit card terminals for payment and some QR codes.
Australia is a very large continent and my experience, after 4 years of using public EV charging networks, is there is a good variety of competitive EV charging network providers in Australia. Low barriers to entry have allowed smaller start ups to enter the market, sometimes focussed just on their local region, right up to large statewide and national EV charging network providers.
I’m just keeping this blog as it’s any easy way for me to keep track of the development of EV charging networks in Australia, for family and friends.
